We received this as a gift. Like a lot of the V- tech toys, the sounds can be very annoying. My son liked it though and so it remained. I thought it was too loud for the bath but finally decided to give it a try in the tub. It squirts water through the top spigots in little showers and best of all the sounds are softer when in the water. You can still hear the words clearly but they don’t have that annoying edge. My son likes the gentle water showers that go off in different patterns but it scares him just a little too, especially if he gets squirted in the face. The buttons are also difficult to push when the toy is floating in the water. We will probably not use this for bath time much. I admit a prejudice for simpler bath toys that inspire imagination and pretend play.
